Equipment Inspection & Safety Guide

Your safety and compliance are our priority. Use this guide to ensure your gear is road-ready and DOT-compliant.

Synthetic Straps

  • Damage: Check for any cuts, holes, or fraying.

  • Heat: Look for melted fibers from exhaust or friction.

  • Tags: Mandatory. If the WLL tag is missing or unreadable, discard the strap immediately.

Chains & Binders

  • Links: Look for stretched, bent, or cracked links.

  • Gouges: Any nick deeper than 10% of the thickness is a fail.

  • Binders: Ensure handles aren't bent and ratchet gears move freely.

Tarps & Bungees

  • D-Rings: Check for rust or open welds.

  • Vinyl: Look for "dry rot" or brittleness that leads to tears.

  • Bungees: Replace if you see "alligator skin" cracks or loss of tension.

The Driver’s Rule:

f you have to ask 'Will this hold?', it’s already time to replace it. A $15 strap is cheaper than a $15,000 claim.
